Tonks Island, Papua New Guinea

What beauty!?! With our boat rides lasting hours both ways, we were lucky to have Tonks Island as a resting point. Not only did we rest, we got to snorkel and see the amazing coral reef and colorful fishes that surround the island. Not a bad place for a honeymoon!

Dec chillin' in the shallow end.

Group going out to snorkel!

Just beautiful, ne?

Papua New Guinea Donation Day

We (mostly Russell) got donations from our schools and various other places to bring with us to PNG. The donations included markers, erasers, paper, and basically any school related items. After bringing around 50 boxes over, we had to open them all up and divide them into 4 spots for the 4 villages we were visiting!

First starting out. Good job Evan!

The piles are growing!

Time to repack them. Nice job Deccy!

Troy and Troy

Troy (the bigger one) is so famous in PNG (he's been there 7 times) that some of the people in Camiali named their new son after him. FOR REAL!!! Too Cute!!!

Kamiali, Papua New Guinea

Kamiali was our first place to rest in PNG. Most visitors who come through here end up staying here, so they have a nice center to host and bed travelers! 13 of us got to sleep above the center in bunk-beds while some others got private bungalows out back.

The view from the Center. Not too shabby, huh?
You can see our bunk-beds on the 2nd floor. Cool!!!

Taking over. The beds here were AWESOME!

Everyone outside enjoying the last bit of sunlight and eating dinner. At night they turned on the generators for us.
Grace hiding out in her mosquito net, not wanting any bug bites!
Deccy crashing without his net!

I just wanted to throw this pic in there. This was our dinner being prepared. Check out the fish head in the pink bowl. Fun!

Boat Breaks

Nothing better than getting breaks from the sun and waves with sand and shade. The first day we rode only 2 hours in the boat and stopped here along the sea in between villages.

Christian enjoying the many hermit crabs found on the beach.
This place reminded me a lot of Thailand! Very Beautiful!!!
