Hi Seoul Festival 2007

Hi Seoul Festival 2007 is a week long celebration about Korea's history for the Korean people. It was designed to encourage all Seoul citizens to participate, so the events are free and are held all over the city from temples to city streets. It was amazing! You could be walking down one street and see a huge stage set up where dancers and singers would be performing traditional Korean skits or just passing a temple to be dragged into making handmade palace food. It was everywhere!!!
This was me at one of the children's festival spots hand wrestling a costumed performer. As soon as they spotted a foreigner, you would be dragged into to participate in any and all of the festival events.
I won!
Cuteness!

This was a child's game where you were suppose to stand behind a certain point and toss an arrow rod into one of the circular pots. It was fun to watch b/c most of the time you would see elderly people playing more than the kids!
Some type of game with bouncing rocks/marbles and catching them with the hand.

Cool tea party!
Reenactment of a prison torture event with children participation. Little odd to watch!
Getting to decorate our own palace sweets with edible flowers.
And smushing our own block seal cakes (another palace sweet)
