Jongmyo

World Heritage - Royal Ancestral Shrine This was where the spirit tablets of its kings and queens are enshrined and memorial rites are observed in respect of time-old confucian tradition.

The Hall of Everlasting Peace

It consists of a large rectangular building of individual rooms and side wings. A series of round pillars line the corridor. With no windows the building is designed to be kept dark inside.
